Picture A Hero thanks ALL of the Family Assistance and Family Readiness Coordinators and Group Leaders who go out of their way to be sure their families know where we are on which days. The families who have the opportunity to have their portraits taken are so thankful for the opportunity.
Picture A Hero depends on the assistance of the military and none of our work would be possible without the help of these wonderful people.

The Elks Club #531 of Council Bluffs IA offered us a great space to take portraits in the Council Bluffs area. We used their facility for 2 days.
The members were incredibly hospitable and provided us with beverages, sandwiches, pizza, coffee and doughnuts and all of the support we needed.
A heartfelt thanks to the Elks!
| In Cedar Falls, we were graciously welcomed by the AMVETS. We enjoyed our time at their facility and thank them sincerely for their support of our program.
We spent a couple of days at their site and were very impressed by their kindness.

VFW Post 788 in Cedar Rapids hosted Picture A Hero for three days of our tour across Iowa.
The members welcomed us warmly and provided us with plenty of sodas and a great meal. They were extremely kind to us and to the many soldiers and families that had their portraits taken at the Post.
We want to thank the VFW members for their help and support!
